Graduate Students and Postdocs
Graduate students please submit a complete official application to Electrical Engineering Department by December 15 for fall admission and in your application select Dr. Ozkan-Aydin as a preferred advisor.
Currently, there are no funding opportunities available to postdoctoral scholars. However, if you have your own funding please send your CV and intention letter via email.
Undergraduate Students
There are several research options for undergraduate students from all engineering and science departments. Please send an email to Dr. Ozkan-Aydin (yozkanay@nd.edu) explaining your background and interests.
International Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (iSURE)
As the largest summer REU for visiting students among top US universities, the iSURE program provides opportunities for international undergraduate and Master's students to participate in research projects at the University of Notre Dame. Students will gain valuable hands-on experience and exposure to real-life scientific problem-solving and learning by working closely with Notre Dame faculty and graduate students on a variety of ongoing cutting-edge research.
On-campus housing is provided for all iSURE students throughout the program as well as a series of activities and events to engage iSURE cohorts with other summer students. Some of the signature events include:
- Face-to-face Q&A sessions with the Graduate Admissions Committee of certain departments
- Field trip to Chicago and visit Chicago’s most iconic attractions
- Evening activities such as speed-friending, scavenger hunts, ice-skating, and star-gazing
- Research poster/presentation sessions
- Interactions and discussions with Notre Dame undergraduate students
